At NAKANO International College, we believe that the true purpose of education extends far beyond academic attainment. It is the cultivation of knowledge, character, confidence, sound judgement, and an enduring curiosity for learning, qualities that help young people understand the world and their place in it.

Since the establishment of the Nakano Educational Institute in 2005, our institution has evolved with an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, character formation, and holistic education, empowering every student to grow intellectually, personally, and socially.

At NAKANO, we embrace a diverse and inclusive educational community in which every religion, culture, nationality, and individual identity is respected and valued. We see diversity as an opportunity to broaden perspectives and prepare students to engage respectfully with the world.

Dear Parents and Students,

Bright Among Others.

It is an honour and privilege to serve as your Principal and to have the opportunity to lead a school founded on Tradition, Education, and Excellence — pillars on which this esteemed institution is renowned in society.

Nakano College, a well-reputed school in our country, was founded in 2005 and follows the Cambridge Curriculum from pre-school and Primary to O/Levels, and the National Curriculum from Grade 6 to O/Levels. I am delighted that Nakano College, Bandaragama, is now registered as an Independent Cambridge International School, approved by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE), where our students can register and sit their Cambridge examinations in their own familiar school environment.

The school has earned a reputation for Academic Excellence and has gifted many young individuals to our society. Our students have excelled not only in academics but also in sports and other extracurricular activities as a result of the well-rounded and balanced educational methods and practices we have in place.

Although international in our curriculum, Nakano College is truly rooted in its cultural approach, moulding and training our students to live in a multi-cultural society like ours. Parents of our students play an integral part in this process, not only in educating their children but also in supporting the school in building well-rounded individuals who will be accepted in every sphere of our society.

Nakano is a place where learning and teaching are the norm, and I am honoured to be a part of this great community. Thank you!
